Knee and hip joints are absent. Otherwise, the child is well developed and active. (Center) The second type of prosthesis furnished this girl-a well-contoured, nicely fitting apparatus that gives good support. It is tolerated well. (Right) With clothes, the prosthesis is scarcely noticeable. She is a normal, healthy youngster and participates in most activities.
